Requirements

Electrical permits are required for all electrical work, except for repairs.

Application Submission

All permit applications are taken between the hours of 8:00 and 4:00, Monday through Friday in the Code Administration Office on the third floor of City Hall.

Electrical permit applications may be submitted online, mailed, faxed, in person APPOINTMENTS ARE RECOMMENDED or placed in the City Hall drop box along with the appropriate fee.

Licenses & Applications

All electrical work must be performed by City-licensed electricians. Only licensed electricians may secure electrical permits.

Inspection Requests

Once a permit has been issued and work has been completed requiring an inspection, contractors shall use the City's online inspection request portal to schedule an inspection.
