Are the streets being swept today because of inclement weather?
The general rule is: the streets will not be swept when roads are icy, have snow, or the temperature is below approximately negative 25 degrees Fahrenheit. However, sometimes other factors come into play or when conditions are borderline, street sweeping will be decided on a day to day basis. You can call the Public Works Office at (301) 739-8577 ext. 178 to find out on a particular day.
