During the week of March 23rd, work crews from Craig Paving, Inc. will begin work on the spring 2026 pavement preservation program. Initial work will involve pavement patches at various locations around the City, to be followed by milling and repaving portions of approximately twenty streets. While no street closures are currently planned for this work, there may be flagging operations and lane shifts near the actual work areas. Motorists may encounter temporary traffic delays and congestion near the work areas.
This work will continue through the spring of 2026; additional advisories will be sent out as necessary depending upon which streets are being repaved.
Emergency vehicles will be able to pass through the streets where the work is being performed; if a temporary street closure is required to complete the work, additional traffic advisories will be issued.
Please contact the City’s Department of Engineering & Permits at 301-739-8577, ext. 125 if there are any questions regarding this advisory.
