  • Mayor and Council elections are held the same time as Federal and State elections.

    Candidates must file Candidacy Forms with the Washington County Board of Elections (240 313-2050).

  • The council serve all city residents and you may speak to the councilmember of your choice.

  • Work Sessions are typically held the first three Tuesdays of the month beginning at 4:00 p.m. Citizens may attend and listen in on these meetings. The Regular Session is typically held at 7:00 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of the month. At the Regular Session, public comments are allowed. The meetings are held in the City Hall Council Chamber located at One East Franklin Street, Hagerstown. Additionally, all meetings are broadcast live on Hub City 25 (Antietam Cable Channel 25), City of Hagerstown's YouTube Channel and City of Hagerstown - Municipal Facebook page.
