The City of Hagerstown Parks & Recreation division announces opening weekend for the City Park Train Hub and the Jonathan Hager House Museum. These nationally recognized heritage sites will open to the public March 27 and 28 from 10am-4pm in advance of seasonal tours each Friday-Sunday from April 10 through October 4.
During opening weekend, tours at the Jonathan Hager House begin with the popular German Easter Tours at 10am, noon, and 2pm. German Easter Tours will be conducted on March 27 and 28 and April 3 and 4. Starting April 10, tours of the historic, unique town founder’s home begin on the hour, no appointment necessary between 10am-4pm on Fridays and Saturdays and from noon-4pm on Sundays (last tour at 3pm). The Jonathan Hager House Museum is located at 110 Key Street in Hagerstown City Park. Standard admission rates apply; see website for details: www.hagerhouse.org. Visit the City Park Train Hub located at 770 City Park Drive as it opens for the season and experience the era of locomotion at Hagerstown City Park. Come discover, explore, and play aboard historic locomotive Engine 202 and retired caboose and visit the Railroad Museum. On Saturday, April 4, free admission to the site includes photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny and an egg hunt from 1pm-3pm.
