Weather permitting, on September 12th, work crews from Henson & Son, Inc. will begin curb and sidewalk repairs along the south side of Northern Avenue. In order to accommodate this work, temporary lane closures and lane shifts will be required. While one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction, traffic congestion and delays are likely.
Motorists approaching the work areas will encounter cones, barricades, and other traffic control devices. Work hours will generally be 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM each weekday; the work on Northern Avenue is expected to continue until September 29th.
Emergency vehicles will be able to pass through this section of Northern Avenue while the work is being performed, but dispatchers should be aware that some traffic congestion and delays are likely.
