The City of Hagerstown Parks & Recreation Department, in partnership with the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts and the Valley Art Association, invites you to visit a new joint exhibit of original artwork. Created during the First Annual Hager House Plein Air Free Art Festival back on August 12, the artwork is now on display at two venues in Historic City Park.
The Jonathan Hager House Museum and the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts are hosting the 46 paintings, watercolors, a wood block carving, and prints made on site by local artists of all ages. The artwork is also available online for public viewing at www.hagerhouse.org. The exhibits will be open to the public until Saturday, September 23.
All art lovers are encouraged to view the online exhibit first to see where each artist’s work is being physically exhibited, then come see it in person! The Hager House is open by guided tours Fridays & Saturdays, 10am-4pm; or, you may schedule a private tour by calling 301-739-8577, ext. 170. The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am-5pm, Saturday from 10am-4pm, & Sunday from 1pm-5pm.
