BISFA Chili Cook Off and Festival
Saturday, May 20, 2023
The BISFA Chili Cook-Off and Festival is a celebration of Hagerstown native and Tabasco sauce creator Edmund Mcllhenney, with all profits going towards supporting the activities of the Instrumental Music Department at Barbara Ingram School of Arts.
The event features a chili cook-off, a beer garden featuring a variety of beers from local breweries*, and live music from The Reagan Years, Staff Infection, and students from BISFA's Instrumental Music Department.
With the support of the Tobasco Company, BISFA will offer two chili-cook off categories:
- Professional and Corporate Teams
- Home Cooks
During this event, a plaque will be placed at the corner of S. Potomac and E. Washington Street to mark Mcllhenny's birthplace.
*Entry to the beer garden and consumption of alcoholic beverages limited to 21+ ONLY. ID and wristbands will be required to enter beer garden and purchase alcoholic beverages.
