The City’s sponsorship program supports events within the City that have a positive impact on local businesses and offer benefits to its citizens.
Criteria for selection include:
Organization’s demonstrated need;
Potential of the event to improve the quality of life for Hagerstown residents;
Potential for the event to bring people downtown;
Organization's capacity for promoting event;
Economic impact and opportunity for downtown businesses.
For best consideration, please submit a request by December 15, 2021 for events taking place between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023 (FY23). Notification is expected to be made in June, 2022, following the adoption of the City's FY22 budget.
NOTE: We receive many qualified requests; however, we cannot guarantee that all applicants will receive sponsorship awards.
All organizations that receive sponsorships are required to submit a report form within 60 days of the conclusion of their event. Failure to do so may result in not receiving future sponsorships.
