Our mission is to deliver recreation programs that are attractive, accessible and provide memorable experiences. We aim to serve people of all ages to create a desirable community to live, work, and play. We measure our success by customer satisfaction, efficiency, and development of recreation services that meet the values and needs of our residents and visitors. Breathe In; Bliss Out
Sunday, April 23, 3:30 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. 

 Led by Alys Dahbura, learn how to down regulate your nervous system and mitigate stress with movement and breathing strategies incorporating myofascial release, yoga, meditation, and more. Unbind muscular tension, relieve anxiety, and master the art of "blissing out." $20/person.  
CPR and First Aid
Weekends, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Become certified to administer CPR and First Aid. Classroom training with both textbook materials and interactive experience training with manikins. Exam at the the end of the course demonstrates learning to aquire certification card. In partnership with Mid-Atlantic Emergency & Safety Consultants, LLC. 

Child and Babysitter Safety Training
Weekends, 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. 
Friday, March 24; Sunday, April 30; Sunday, May 21; Sunday, June 11; Friday, July 7

This Child and Babysitter Safety program teaches skills to raise confident, knowledgeable, credibly and officially CPR and First Aid certified care providers. In partnership with Mid-Atlantic Emergency and Safety Consultants, LLC. Appropriate for ages 11 years and above. 
To register for an activity/program in person, our office is located at 351 North Cleveland Avenue in Fairgrounds Park.

Activity fees due upon registration. Any check returned by the bank for whatever reason will be assessed a collection fee of $37.50. All park patrons are asked to comply with the Park Rules and Regulations

Refund Policy: Activities/Program Registrations


All activities are rain or shine; the City does not issue refunds due to inclement weather.
If the activity/event is canceled by the City due to low registration numbers, the City will refund 100% of the fees to those who registered.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations by the registrant. In extreme cases of illness, or emergency, the Recreation Coordinator may consider a credit to the registrant for future City recreation events or facility reservations. Such requests for credit must be done in writing and submitted to the Parks and Recreation office.
