Parking Division

Responsibilities & Services

The Parking Division of the Department of Public Works oversees the City of Hagerstown’s two public parking garages, seven public parking lots, metered on-street parking, and five city owned neighborhood parking lots. This includes all maintenance, upkeep, revenue collection, and enforcement for the entire Parking System. We maintain 600-plus spaces in our garages, 700-plus spaces in our public lots, hundreds of on-street metered spaces in our downtown, and many smaller, neighborhood lots throughout the city.

No matter what brings you to downtown Hagerstown, the staff of the Parking Division is committed to providing you with convenient parking options; whether it is in one of our well lit parking garages, a public parking lot, or a space on the street. We hope you enjoy your visit to our Downtown!

Free Parking

The City of Hagerstown will be providing two hours of free parking in the parking decks once again this holiday season. The discount will be applied automatically; and begins at 6 am on Monday, November 21st and will end at 6 am Tuesday morning, the 3rd of January. Parking in the decks will also be free all weekend during this time.
Regular rates will apply at all metered spaces on-street or in parking lots. However, enjoy free parking at all on-street and lot meters after 5 p.m. every day and all day on Saturdays and Sundays.
